Reliance to offer mobile video streaming services
Mobile service provider Reliance Communications has said that they are all set to introduce mobile video streaming services for their customers.
This service would be similar in nature to how webcasting works and would provide an ability to provide online video of events to mobile users around the nation.
Reliance claims that they are the first CDMA mobile service operators in the country to offer such a service to their customers.
The company is working with mobile phone companies including Nokia and LG to provide handsets capable of supporting this new service.
The company added that as many as 50 per cent of their subscribers already have devices capable of supporting video and audio streaming functionality.
