even i have a similar issue. in my case the local provider has almost vanished from our area. and we are left with out any connection now. when i went there and asked them about this, they are saying that they wont refund back the advance amount that we payed in.

If they are not providing the connection then why the hell they are not giving back the advance amount...

any similar issues guysssssss
what should i do now.

Great Work Ankur. I am also a frustrated Sify user who has suddenly discovered that I am now getting unlimited 256 from pure unlimited 256. In simple language it means that sify is no longer "pure", and that I have been cheated for the last 3 years, what I thought was dedicated 256 at Rs. 1,000 per month is a shared conection with no gurantee of service or bandwidth. I now get a speed ranging from 4 Kbps to 16 Kbps download and the connection is erratic and frequently disconnects. I am now planning to go to court and would also like to go nto the MRTP and TRAI, asking them to stop the operation of SIFY in India unless they adopt fully transparent policy and stop criminal cheating and fraud on the hapless consumer. We as consumers must jointly fight sify

I think that this should help all the subcribers. I am also another frustrated sify customer who gets pathetic download speeds. I hope sify and other broadband providers in India take notice and improve their service.

A definite win for us consumers. I moved away from Sify because of the change in my local ISP, which was great because Sify started to get extremely frustrating.

Downtime, pathetic dialer and this hidden clause. Kudos to Ankur
