A week with broken pings and sub KBps speeds for most of the time

Getting broken pings on my Sify Local Network since almost a week. Reported the problem 4 times. They arrived 40 hrs late on the first complaint when I was out of town. Claimed that the network was OK. I came back from my out of the town trip; find the network still in a mess. Called again. This time they confirmed that the pings breaking are really unreasonable. Still waiting for the network to get better so that the internet gets a bit better.

The end result is that I cannot even reach the minimum speed limit of 2KBps, sites hang in between. I cannot delete files on FTP server let alone upload them. Think, life will be hell unless TouchTel, Indicom, Reliance Bharat Broadband or Spectranet comes to town. It’s really insane.
