Ericsson to build a 3G mobile network for Dialog Telekom
Swedish telecommunications equipment maker LM Ericsson has said in a statement that they would now be building a third generation mobile network in Sri Lanka.
They would be building this network for the Dialog Telekom Company in the island country.
However, the company did not disclose the financial aspects of this deal. However, they claimed that this network would be the first of its kind in the South Asian region. India itself is yet to get a 3G network despite being one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world.
Ericsson would be working on establishing the core network in the country. They would also be supplying most of the radio access network.
