		<description>One caveat with the Airtel plan for 2 Mbps: your rate per pulse is usually higher than 1 Rupee for landline usage. In the case of the 2 Mbps Rs999 scheme, the rate is Rs. 1.10.

This is totally counter-intuitive and the sales rep as well as team lead were unable to give any logical explanation: my current 256 Kbps line also comes with landline. I pay Re 1 per pulse. So if I make an ISD call for 1 hour = 3600 seconds, I will be charged 360 pulses @ 1 Re = Rs. 360. However if I upgrade to the 2 Mbps line, I will be charged 360 pulses @ Rs 1.10 = Rs. 396.

This makes no sense: why should the landline costs go up when I upgrade my packet connection? When queried, the only reply I got was &quot;Our package is like that only sir.&quot;

Hopefully the Airtel marketing specialists realize this nonsensical pricing and restore the old prices for landline, while charging the premiums for higher bandwidth.
