Blackberry services on Airtel now cheaper
Indian mobile service provider Airtel has announced that they are lowering the monthly rental for its services on business phone Blackberry.
The rates are being dropped by as much as 75% as the company tries to lure in more people to use Blackberry on Airtel.
The charges for using Blackberry on Airtel are Rs 249 per month. These are down from a fixed monthly rental of Rs 1099 per month.
This reduced rate is effective immediately and is likely to help customers by lowering their bills by as much as 40-45 per cent.
Blackberry users on Airtel would now be charged only 15 paisa per KB of usage. Existing members are allowed to continue with their rental of Rs 1,099 per month for unlimited usage.
The company further announced that they are now selling the Blackberry 7100g handset to Rs 10,999. Interestingly, rivals Hutch are also offering Blackberry on their services.
