I have this very irritating problem with Sify Broadband connection. It logs me out automatically without any reason. It happen when the net is not in use which is pretty much normal with most ISPs but it automatically logs me out even when I have put something to download. Worse it has even logged me out when I was surfing the net! And well… As I now know I am not alone. I have this friend in Pune who faced the small problem.

And we found a simple solution. If you have the same problem just leave a comment and I will give you the solution. :)

    Dude…
I have the shared/unlimited piece of junk package of Sify (and yet, its still the best they can offer) and i go to work at 11am, and let my comp download all day till i come home at9pm, i can see what my average speed was for the day, most of the time 3.5kB/s , i am originally from Holland and if we had that shit there we would crusify these Sify people, but thats not the case now, i am in India , not in Holland
It cuts off now, every once in a while so that means: leaving my comp for download is only good for a few MB’s and the rest of the day is only a waste of electricity.
I wonder if these amateurs did this on purpose.
The excuse of: Yes, we did that so, after u go idle u save money/hours… for %%^$$ sake,. i have 24/7 unlimited… I DONT WNAT TO BE DISCONNECTED>.. they said: ok sir, we look into this…

    …they wont… i already know they wont

I have been facing automatic logouts from the time they introduced the new sify broadband client. I am running Zone Alarm with it. When ZA is running it loggs out in 5 mins. and loggout in 15-20 mins if ZA is not running. PLS SUGGEST SOME TECHIQUE to prevent logout.

PLease let em know, how do accomplish the following taaks:
    1. Prevent auto-disconnection
    2. Auto-logon to Sify in the backgrouns, like Always-On connection.
    3. There shud be no prompt to login.

    Send it to raajj354(at)yahoo(dot)com

I have found out a solution. Instead of the Client provided by sify, use the one named EasySify. It is a great one written by someone other than Sify. Search on google about downloading EasySify and you will get their website. Its completely free and all the takes care of all the problems with sify broadband.
In case someone faces any further difficulties do let me know. I am reachable at my id saikat_tota@rediffmail.com
