TRAI tells mobile service providers to restore disconnected connections in 24 hours
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has now stepped in to help those mobile phone users who connections have been disconnected by the mobile service providers due to their inability to verify their addresses.
TRAI has asked the telecom operators to restore connections within 24 hours of submission of documents. They had received several complaints from the customers who said that nothing was being done even after submission of all the required documents.
TRAI further said: “The operators have been advised to accelerate the process of verification of documents submitted by deactivated subscribers, and in case the documents are found in order, restore the connection within 24 hours.”
TRAI further said that the customers whose connections are being reactivated should get all the privileges and facilities like validity period, balance amount due to them.
