Lifetime validity schemes on prepaid mobile cards now cheaper
Airtel, Hutch, Reliance Communications and Idea have steeply reduced the prices of their lifetime validity prepaid mobile connections.
Market experts believe that this step has been taken as the companies aims to get more customers to join their services and stick with them over a longer period of time.
Market leader Bharti Airtel has brought down the prices of its lifetime validity prepaid card from Rs. 999 to Rs. 495. They were later followed by the rival players in the market.
Hutch and Idea are now offering their similar packages for Rs. 495. Reliance is charging Rs. 499.
Airtel and Hutch are offering full talk time on future recharges on these plans. However, they require the customer to use a minimum of Rs. 200 every six months to continue with the scheme.
Reliance Communications requires the user to use Rs.125 every three months in order to continue the service.
