MTNL too drops the rates for their lifetime pre-paid and post-paid mobile connections
Following in the footsteps of the private sector mobile service providers, MTNL has now announced their decision to drop the rates for lifetime pre-paid and post-paid mobile connections.
MTNL (Delhi) Executive Director A. K. Arora announced in a statement that their Trump Jeevansathi lifetime pre-paid connection would now be available at just Rs. 475. This package was priced Rs. 900 earlier.
Users opting for this connection would get free incoming for lifetime (till the current license is valid) and full talk-time on subsequent charges.
The package also comes with a minuscule Rs.50 talk-time at the time of taking the connection.
MTNL also said that the package now offer attractive calling charges. All local outgoing calls to MTNL mobiles will be charged at 90 paise per minute. Calls made to other phones would be charged Rs.1.50 per minute. STD charges are fixed at Rs.1.75 per minute.
Arora added: “These tariffs are much cheaper compared with other operators. Moreover, in our case the minimum recharge required is just Rs.100 every six months, while for other operators it is Rs.200 every half-yearly.”
MTNL has also made updated their Dolphin Jeevansathi lifetime post-paid connection which now costs Rs. 450 down from Rs. 800. Call charges to MTNL mobile phones would be 80 paise per minute. Calls made to other local phones would cost Rs.1.20 per minute. STD calls would cost Rs.1.75 per minute.
