BSNL reduces charges on international roaming in India
Indian telecom operator BSNL has announced that they are reducing their charges applicable on the international mobile phone users roaming in India.
The rates have been reduced by around 35-40 per cent.
BSNL is the largest telephone service operator in the Indian market and also is the third largest mobile service provider.
The company added that the new rates would be applicable starting next month. Their move is going to benefit people traveling to India from other countries.
A market analyst spoke about this BSNL announcement: “With the international long distance call (ILD) rates as low as Rs 1.75 per minute and local access charges Re 1 per minute, the international roaming segment was giving good profits to the companies.”
