Telecom Regulatory Authority of India summons telecom operators for poor services
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has said that they have now summoned eight telecom operators in the country for providing poor services to their customers.
TRAI member, A K Sawhney said in a statement on this development: “We have called four operators on Monday, and another four today individually for their quality of service.”
All the major operators in the country including HFCL, MTNL, Idea, Hutch, Airtel and Aircel are amongst the players who have received the summons from the TRAI.
Sawhney further said: “We have told them to meet the Quality of Service (QoS) Regulation 2005 parameters by next quarter ending September, or face actions like penalty and even recommendation of cancellation of licenses.”
The operators have been given a time period to respond to the TRAI’s questions.
