Update: Looks like I am back to normal speeds! :(

2 guys have been somewhat indicated by Sify customer support people that they would soon be launching more unlimited data transfer packages with faster speeds. Also reported is that Sify Broadband has decided to be a little more generous to the users having the Rs. 600 wala Shared Broadband package and giving them better speeds. I and another user from Delhi have noticed it but others are still getting crappy speeds. Maybe it is just a temporary phase. But I would certainly like if Sify can pull something like this off… A package offering 128 kbps genuine speeds with unlimited data transfer for around 1000 to 1500 bucks.

Though, the speeds I am getting on my current package at this very moment is satisfactory enough. Looks like the competition is taking its toll and Sify is seeing the future already. WAN based systems don’t bring reliability. I know because my net was down for around 30 minutes due to a glitch on the cable coming to my home…
