Indian customers would have to wait for sometime before they can get their hands on the recently launched Apple iPhone.
But they have an alternative in the form of the HTC Touch mobile device which has now been launched by Airtel in the domestic market.
Bharti Airtel Chief Marketing Officer Sanjay Gupta said in a statement on this launch: ”Our partnership with HTC to introduce India’s first TouchFLO technology featured handset underlines our commitment to innovation.”
Airtel further said that the phone would be made available exclusively to Airtel customers in the country.
HTC Chief Executive Officer Peter Chou added: ”Our new offering is the first device to feature TouchFLO, the new underlying touch screen technology that will definitely help the whole telecom industry move forward.”
The phone has been priced at a competitive Rs.19,900.
