Motorola and Tata Teleservices launches MOTO Q in India
More good news for the mobile phone users in the Indian market. Tata Teleservices has joined hands with Motorola to launch their Moto Q smartphone in the Indian market.
The ultra-thin QWERTY device is based on a Qualcomm Multimedia Platform chipset and comes powered with the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5 operating system.
Malcolm Dawe, vice president and general manager, Motorola India Mobile Devices spoke on this launch: “The Moto Q is a must-have device that enables true seamless mobility by liberating all of us from the constraints of our offices and living rooms. It brings together all converged solutions users need to work, stay in touch, and have fun. With best voice, data, and design technology in one ultra-thin, intelligent, hard-working device, the Moto Q enables increased productivity and entertainment on-the-go.”

Moto Q being offered in India comes loaded with integrated Bluetooth 1.2 wireless technology with stereo profile support for communicating with Bluetooth-enabled headsets, car kits, and other devices; integrated 1.3 megapixel camera with video playback and capture; fast downloads of data, email, and large attachments; familiar thumbwheel to enhance navigation; synchronization with email, calendar, contacts, and tasks entries; and integration with Windows Mobile 5.0 OS for user convenience and access to Yahoo!, Hotmail, and other POP3 services.
Tata Teleservices added that the customers can get this device along with the Business Platinum 649 plan which comes with free monthly usage of up to 512MB. This plan also comes with Rs 150 worth of free local calling.
They are offering the Moto Q in the market for Rs 19,999 with a 512MB miniSD card with preloaded content as well as an additional high capacity (1640mAH) battery.
