Aircel & Nokia join hands to provide Bundled Offers in Tamil Nadu

Aircel pre-paid starter packs with Nokia 1110i, Nokia 1112 & Nokia 2310

Chennai, August 30, 2007 – Aircel, the fifth largest GSM mobile service provider in the country, and Nokia, the world’s largest mobile handset manufacturer, has entered into a commercial partnership for the first time to provide pre-paid bundled offers to customers across the state of Tamil Nadu.

Aircel pre-paid Starter Packs (SPs) will be available free along with Nokia 1110i (for best-buy price of Rs. 1699) Nokia 1112 (for best-buy price Rs. 1849) and Nokia 2310 (for best-buy price Rs. 2499). These SPs will have a 2-year validity period along with free Talk Value ranging from Rs. 300 to Rs. 600 depending on the handset chosen (for more details, please refer product note below).

The Aircel-Nokia bundled offers will be marketed through the Nokia distribution network (i.e. through Nokia dealers and retail outlets) across the state.

Aircel Starter Pack Details:

* Validity for 2 years

* Free Talk Value worth Rs. 300 on Nokia 1110i and Nokia 1112 models; Rs.50 will be credited on 1st of every month for 6 months from the immediate month that follows after activation

* Free Talk Value worth Rs. 600 on Nokia 2310 model; Rs.50 will be credited on 1st of every month for 12 months from the immediate month that follows after activation

* The bonus Talk Value can be utilized only for Aircel calls within Tamil Nadu

Subscribers are also entitled for the “Night Speak” facility (that of calling Aircel mobiles in Tamil Nadu at 39 paise per minute between 10.00pm and 8.00am) and “Add-on Facility” (that of choosing 2 Aircel numbers for which calls will be charged at 20 paise per minute).
