Palm Treo 750 launched on Airtel network
Smartphone maker Palm has announced that they are now collaborating with Airtel to launch their Palm Treo 750 smartphone in India.
Palm has been largely an unknown brand in India and people generally imported them from the international markets to use them here.
They are offering this Treo model exclusively through Airtel and it would cost the interested customers around Rs 27,000. This comes to around USD 675.
The package comes with free unlimited data usage for a month. Palm is also including in the package a wireless keyboard with Bluetooth technology.
Sharon Ee, head of business (South Asia), Palm spoke on this new launch: “Smartphones have a 4.7 per cent share of the mobile handset market in India and are expected to touch 9.5 per cent by 2011. Palm wanted to be a part of the success story and hence our launch in India with partners like Airtel.”
