Bharti Airtel launches Blackberry 8820 for Rs 31,990

Vodafone has launched it already and now Bharti Airtel has announced that the Research in Motion’s Blackberry 8820 is available on their network too.

Airtel would be offering this smartphone for Rs 31,990. The device features EDGE and GPRS, Wi-fi connectivity along with global positioning system (GPS) and a host of location-based applications.

It also comes with the WayFinder navigation application from Bharti Airtel. The company added that this feature enables the user to pinpoint his current location using the device.

This unit would also ship with Roxio Media Manager enabling the user to manage his music from his computer.

Bharti Airtel, Chief Marketing Officer, Mobile Services Sanjay Gupta added in his statement on this launch: “We are excited to bring India’s first dual mode Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry 8820 smartphone to our customers.”
