BSNL launches TV in mobile handset service
Government owned telecom company BSNL has now launched their ‘TV in mobile handset’ service in the market.
This service is currently available in the eastern and north-eastern regions of the country.
With this service BSNL’s GSM service customers would now be able to watch as many as 12 channels on their compatible mobile devices.
They aim to expand the availability to around 32 channels by the end of the current year.
BSNL is working in collaboration with Apalya Technologies to provide this service on mobile devices.
It is currently compatible with certain Nokia handsets and would soon be made compatible with handsets from Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
Some of the channels being provided at the moment are: NDTV, CNBC, Aajtak, Times Now, Zoom, Bindaas, ETV, and TV9.
