Tata Indicom wants a piece of GSM Pie

Reliance Communications has already received the permissions to provide GSM services in the country.

Now, Tata wants a piece of the GSM pie which could intensify the competition in the mobile market in India.

A company spokesperson admitted that the company is evaluating the new guidelines issued by DoT.

The recently announced decision by DoT has now enabled CDMA players to enter GSM segment.

It also benefits the CDMA players as spectrum allocation is now connected to the number of subscribers a company has in the market.
