Eight million mobile subscribers added in October

India continues to remain a hot market for mobile service providers. The market saw an addition of over eight million new mobile customers in the month of October alone.

The market had added around 7.80 million mobile users in September. The tele-density in India is now around 22.52 per cent. This has improved from 21.85 per cent in the month of September.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India further stated in their report that the fixed line subscriber base decreased marginally to 39.41 million in October.

It was at around 39.58 million in the previous month.

The number of broadband customers in the market is now at around 2.69 million.
