DoT announce plans to own an independent telecom satellite
Indian department of telecommunications (DoT) has announced their plans to own an independent telecom satellite.
This is good news for all those telecom operators who are planning to provide satellite-based services in the Indian market.
This move is specially going to benefit the upcoming DTH service operators planning to setup their operations in India.
Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications are two major players who are working hard on launching their DTH services.
Market sources said that this satellite plan could help the government boost the presence of telecommunication services in rural areas.
