Am I being unfair asking for what I was promised?

What to do when there is no suitable alternative available around?

People say I complain too much. With my mails to customer support, the Sify Broadband Blog, the Sify Broadband Forum, and all the bitching about the issues I have with my net connection. But from where I look at it, I am not being unfair at all. In my early days with Sify Broadband, the issues were mostly related to connectivity… The network remained down for days. The CTO was most unhelpful. All the bitching got that fixed. Now, I have a network so reliable that I do not have to call the CTO for weeks at a stretch.

The middle days were fine, network was stable, and the speeds were OK. Then this new b*llsh*t happened. They changed their packages for the good and brought this stupid login client. While I managed to live with the stupid stupid client, the speeds have overall gone down for me. While my net crawls during the daytime, it runs like a rabbit during the nights. So, what alternative do I have? It is not that I am asking for anything that they do not promise. They said by getting the Sify Broadband connection, we can say good-bye to the unreliability that existed with dialups and we will get speeds that we can only dream about. While I managed to get the first part fixed (took me 5 months), the second part is still not solved. They promise 32kbps+ speeds and then claim that on shared packages, no minimum speeds are guaranteed. Why is this not mentioned on the package pages? Whom are they trying to fool? If I have my way, I had found an alternative option to anyone looking forward to getting a Sify broadband connection. 9 months on Sify Broadband and I have seen and heard a lot of crap related to them. If online protest cannot get them to mend their ways, then I believe nothing will.

Their cannot be a better way to bring out the truth about an ISP, then to tell the truth about them online.
