IBM to manage IT work for Vodafone India
Vodafone India has announced that they are now transferring all of its information technology-related work to IBM Corp.
The two companies have signed on a five year long contract for this deal. Vodafone said that this deal would help reduce costs and improve services.
The financial aspects of this deal were not revealed to the media.
Incidentally, IBM is already working with Idea Cellular in India.
Vodafone Essar added in its statement: “Under the deal, IBM India will assume responsibility for the management of all Vodafone Essar’s IT operations with the exception of network service platforms.”
