Spice Telecom offering messaging in 12 national languages
Spice Telecom has announced that they are launching a new service for their customers. This new service would enable them to send and receive SMS messages in 12 Indian languages.
This new service was launched by their brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra who is a leading actress in the Indian Movie Industry.
The company said that this service can be used by downloading the application on Java capable mobile devices.
Users would be able to send and receive text messages in languages like Kannada, Hindi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali and Urdu.
Rakesh Singh, COO, Spice Karnataka added: “A subscriber could with a GPRS connection could download it from the spice portal http://wap.spicetele.com or can SMS the key word `SLL’ to 56199.”
This new service from Spice Telecom is powered by Geneva Software Technologies.
