Sify Broadband’s latest and most advanced antivirus SecureSynergy

Just caught this on Neowin… McAfee have released the latest update to the Stinger antivirus, which is apparently sold in India for INR1500. The product specification mentions:
Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system.
Sounds pretty opposite to what Sify Broadband claims on their login page… You decide whom to trust.

not to mention you cannot shut the scanner without ctrl+alt+del to remove from system tray.I HATE SIFY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is regard with the quality of service provided by the sify corp. The service propvided is much below than i had expected & is going down . The server is mostly down on sunday when is really required due to one reason or the other.The speed as promised is ok but disconnection while surfing is frequent.Hope some steps are taken in this regard to improve service.The new client that has come up is more of a pain then a pleasure , The scanner in it also deleted the full-fledged norton anti-virus installed on my pc.Also hope there is some step taken bout the security of the network.

The stinger anti virus is not protecting my computer against viruses.Also your reps are not allowing to use any other anti virus.
How can I protect my computer from viruses?
Kindly inform as how i can use Norton Antivirus.

when downloading the Sify Broadband the Lincenced secured antivirus package is not downloading properly………. it is taking toooo much of time …….. but not installing……. it means not responding……..
