Kohlberg Kravis Roberts to invest in Bharti Infratel
Bharti Infratel has revealed that they are getting an investment worth around USD 250 million from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.
This comes in addition to the existing investments in the company worth around USD 1 billion from groups including Temasek Holdings, The Investment Corporation of Dubai, Goldman Sachs, Macquarie, AIF Capital, Citigroup & India Equity Partners.
The company currently owns close to around 20,000 sites. They are also a shareholder in the Indus Towers which is collaboration between the major telecom players in the Indian market Bharti, Vodafone and Idea.
Bharti Infratel is a subsidiary of the largest private telecom company in the Indian market Bharti Airtel.
