Idea Cellular to deploy Oracle India’s Siebel customer relationship management application
Indian mobile service provider Idea Cellular has said in a statement that they are now implementing Oracle India’s Siebel customer relationship management application on their network.
The aim is to provide a uniform customer experience to both post-paid and pre-paid customers.
They expect to have this system in place in around a year and they would be helped by IBM in this process.
Oracle Asia Pacific Vice President Ash Khalek spoke about this new development: “India is growing very rapidly and lot of revenue is being generated from the pre-paid areas.”
Idea COO Prakash Paranjape added: “In India there are more than 85 per cent pre-paid connection users and they should also be provided with end-to-end solutions. The applications would enable us to treat customer base as one single continuum.”
