AT&T plans expansion in India

US based telecom giant AT&T is now working on plans to expand their presence in the Indian market.

India has become one of the fastest growing telecom markets by adding millions of new mobile users every month.

AT&T has said in a statement that they are now going to increase its investment in India to enhance physical infrastructure.

The company aims to establish three nodes and an internet data centre. AT&T in addition announced that they are going to invest around $1billion outside the US in 2008.

AT&T already has a decent presence in India in the form of seven nodes. They are going add more in Delhi, Pune and Kolkata by the end of this year.
