Tata Teleservices to pay penalties for substandard services
Tata Teleservices has become the first telecom player in the country to have announced to pay penalties voluntarily to customers if the services provided to them are of low quality.
Tata Teleservices MD Anil Sardana spoke about this initiative: “We will come out with a customer chart setting more stringent quality norms compared to telecom regulator TRAI and if we fail to comply with those standards, we are ready to pay penalty to our subscribers.”
The company further claimed that their ARPUs had been increasing steadily over a period of time unlike other providers whose ARPUs are falling.
Tata also announced the launch of their i-HELP Emergency Service which would enable Tata Indicom subscribers to contact their family and friends instantly in case of an emergency.
