Sify Broadband 48kbps+ shared package

For most part of the day, it is not only worse than a typical dialup connection; it also just about gives 40% of the desired speed. In the name of a shared pack, I get 2-3 KBps data transfer speed on a connection that should actually give me more than 6KBps.
Complains to Sify yields nothing who are happy to convey to me that shared packages comes with no promised speeds. This is the best package from their stable, which comes with unlimited data transfer and time duration clause. I am happy to pay more but they do not have anything for me.
Next comes the 64kbps+ shared connection which comes with even more stupider condition which says you can use the connection for 6 hrs a day after which another day’s connectivity would be deducted. Ofcourse being a shared connection, they still do not promise any minimum speeds here as well.
How stupid can they get? I have absolutely no idea.
