TRAI to eliminate access deficit charge on domestic calls
Indian telecom regulator TRAI has said that they are going to eliminate the access deficit charge (ADC) on domestic calls.
This would be applicable starting next month. This should help the consumer as the telecom companies would be able to lower the charges for STD calls.
TRAI also has now reduced the ADC on international calls. This would enable the telecom companies to lower the charges for ISD calls in the country.
The telecom service providers in the country have already said that they would pass on the benefit to the end customer due to these new developments.
