Airtel working on launched 3G services in India

Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel has said that they have now successfully tested 3G applications with different equipment suppliers in India.

The company is now working on launching their 3G services as soon as they are allocated the 3G spectrum.

Bharti Airtel President (Mobility) Sanjay Kapoor was quoted as saying that the tests have been conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Department of Telecom is working on allocating the 3G spectrum via auction. Several players are likely to bid for them including Airtel, Vodafone, and Reliance.
