Shyam Telecom wants a pan-India GSM license
Shyam Telecom has announced that they are going to apply for a pan-India GSM license under the dual technology license.
The company has already been allocated start-up CDMA spectrum for 9 circles.
Shyam seems to be interested in offering mobile services using both the mobile technologies.
The company added in its statement that they are going to launch pan-India CDMA services by the year-end.
They have been granted spectrum in 12 of the 22 circles in the country.
Russian telecom company Sistema holds a majority stake in this entity and they are now planning to increase its stake in Shyam to 74% over a period of time.
