Indian IPTV policy cleared by the government
The Indian government has now cleared the policy framework for the IPTV which would now enable the companies to launch commercial services.
The government also today announced changes to the current downlinking guidelines for television channels.
Channels would now be allowed to share their feeds with the IPTV service providers.

Asianet Digital Television launched
Asianet Cable TV Service has launched their Asianet Digital Television service. The company is making use of a network of underground optical fiber cables.
These cables have been laid from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod.
They are currently providing around 120 channels. They are providing the customers with a digital head-end set up.
